Tightening Strings [Open]

Sitting in the music room, Leda tuned his guitar in the silence. Being lunch time the room was abandoned, so it was perfect for him to get some random practice in or write something.

The blond had stopped eating lunch in school years ago because he had found it a little bothersome. He had become a twig in the process with not eating much at home either, but he was used to it. He would much rather be off somewhere else reading or playing his guitar. He never found a point in spending extra time with the other students because he wasn't going to be around long. Being in this place was no different, it was only a matter of time before him and his mother moved on to the next town.

Sighing a little Leda stood, satisfied with his tuning and began to strum randomly moving his fingers across the neck. He puffed his cheeks out a little taking a deep breath and looking down as he started to play, running through some practive chords to warm up.

Another with a similar lack of interest for lunch at school. The little white haired boy had headed towards the music room in hope of finding some escape from the rapid and loud japanese being thrown around, too fast for him to understand more than a few words at a time.
With a headache brewing, Sig walked quickly with his head down, clutching music sheets and book to his chest, kicking off his shoes and stowing them in one of the small shelves set up outside the classroom. He hated these stupid slippers, but he would rather slip them on than get told off. Standing on his tiptoes briefly to check the inside of the room, Sig decided the coast was clear, not seeing anyone, and slipped in, freezing when he heard the sounds of a guitar.

"Ah! Sorry!". The blonde mumbled in that thick accent of his, tucking his head down into his shoulders and hiding behind the edge of his music, stepping back and almost tripping over his own feet.

Halfway through a second practice set that was supposed to be a little more difficult, Leda's head shot up at hearing the sudden voice in the room. The blond nearly jumped back himself when he saw the little kid at the door sunken into himself. The boy kind of looked like a ghost being so pale, and Leda couldn't help but sort of wish that he was one. He wasn't really feeling up to company, but he wouldn't turn the kid away either.

He had stopped his playing, his fingers frozen in their place as he eyed the white haired boy. He didn't look familiar, like any of the students did, but he could tell he wasn't in the same grade. "It's fine. You hear to practice too?" he waved his hand in a dismissing manner and motioned to the music sheets the other was trying to hide behind. He didn't care if the kid wanted to play one of the instruments in the room, he could always plug headphones into his amp if it got to annoying or the kid sucked at playing or something.

Nodding slowly, Sig relaxed a little and lifted his blue eyed gaze to study the older student playing his guitar. Even if he had interrupted, he didn't feel like going back to the rush of lunch break, so he crept forwards towards the piano over to one side.
"I just want to play a little..I will try not to disturb you". The young blonde finally lowered his music sheets, and slid onto the stool by the large instrument, leafing through the pieces of paper and the book to find the intricate piece he had been practicing recently.

He didn't care about playing infront of strangers. His own parents had pushed him to play for visitors and to enter all the music school competitions when he was younger. Now though, Sig just played for relaxation, and something to take his mind off other things, fingers settling on the white and black keys and filling the room with the soft sound of expertly played piano.

"It's not a problem," Leda watched the kid going to the piano. He turned back to his strings and did a little bit of sweep picking before the sound of the piano filled the room. The blond's lips pursed into a small smile as he was happy that it didn't sound like an amateur just learning their first song. He was impressed that the younger was able to play so well, but figured it was probably because he was forced to learn early on.

Recognizing the song, he couldn't help but to mimic it on his guitar, though adding his own style to it of course. He used his petal to alter the sounds coming from his amp to match that of the piano so it didn't clash too much.

Sig didn't even have to watch the keys to know where his fingers needed to go, pale eyes drifting to the other student when he joined the song, a tiny smile twitching the corner of his lips. He hadn't played with anyone for so long, his small group of musical friends back home having been left far behind when he was sent here, it was certainly nice to have a not so solitary music session.

Continuing until the end of the song, the youngster gave a small nod to the other in thanks and flicked his sheets to find another piece. He wouldn't try to start up a conversation until they were done, and probably even then only give a few words of thanks and leave, there was no need to interrupt. There was no way he was going to sing either. Sig had a beautiful voice, but he was far to shy to use that skill infront of others.

With the finish of the song, Leda swiftly moved into one of his own that he was working on without pause. Just barely seeing the younger boy nod, he just gave a nod and shrug back. He really didn't have anything to say to the kid, at least not at the moment. Not looking at his fingers as they glided across the strings he moved from his petal and to his book that lay on one of the desks by the window.

The blond stopped playing and picked it up, opening it to the page that had pieces of the song he was just playing. He had been a little stuck as to what to do with it, but it seemed that playing some other form of music is what he needed to get his mind set. Leda often found inspiration for his music in other forms like classical, or jazz, and many of the things he wrote came from things he read or saw.

Pulling a pen from his pocket, he held onto his guitar so it wouldn't hit the desk as he bent over to write. After scribbling a few changes across the page, he set his pen down in the binding of the book and grabbed his pick again. He moved to sit leaning against the window sill as he began to play again with the adjustments.

After his second piece Sig just moved his way through notes and shorter pieces to keep his skills brushed up. Scales and the like to keep his fingers nimble on the black and white keys.
Finally finished, the teen sighed and leaned back, casting a curious sideways glance at the older student who was playing and then scribbling over his notes. Collecting his own pieces of paper, the blonde slid off the seat and steadied himself as the world swam a little, reminding him that he really should have something sugary soon before he toppled over.

Pausing once he had everything and everything had stopped turning in an odd way, Sig waited for an appropriate break in what the older was playing and then spoke up, thanking him for letting him invade.

"Aah..thankyou for letting me play. I'll leave you to it now".

Playing the parts over and over again, Leda lost himself in his writing not even hearing what the other kid was playing anymore. Once he was satisfied with how things were he played through the whole thing to make sure it was right. After he finished, he nodded to himself and went for his book again to make another note. He paused mid-reach as he heard the younger kid speaking. Looking up he just kind of blinked for a moment to get his brain back in socializing order from concentrating so much on writing. "It's not a big deal. It isn't my room so you are allowed in here. Besides, you don't suck at playing so it wasn't annoying," the blond shrugged not really caring that he wasn't putting up a front for the other at the moment. He was complimenting him anyway, so he shouldn't get offended.
